The ALL TIME BEST Photogragher

My sister Gwen wanted to have pics done of Heidi and Morgan done together in thier white baptism dresses because they are so close in age (6 days apart). I said sure, it isn't worth the money to me but I'll get Heidi ready for you and help out. Jasen Master of New Generations Photography took the shots. He is the man I'm taking classes from. I've had one class so far. I was excited to see him work and having a nice pic of Heidi sounded nice too. I was more impressed then I have ever been with a photographer before. He is an artist and he is up to date on the technology available. There is nothing old school about his equipment either. He uses cool lenses to create different effects. He has a n amazing eye when it comes to knowing places and angles. He is worth every penny! After seeing him work and the results, somebody couldn't pay me to use somebody else. I was so impressed! Welcome Jennifer Thompson!!!

This is Jennifer Thompson. She just married Ken about two weeks ago. She moved here from Canada to marry Ken. I am excited for her to join the Clovis 3rd Ward Family! I was flattered to receive a call from her on Thursday to see if I would do her hair for their open house on Friday. (I said YES...can I please do your make-up too?)I think they just came in from their honeymoon. I don't know how she heard about me but I'm glad she did. I can't imagine how nerve racking it must have been for her to plan a wedding with her being sooooo far away. Now she is married and starting a new life far away from her family and friends at home. LUCKY FOR HER SHE'S IN OUR WARD! She was fun to talk to and I was glad to get a nice one on one opportunity to get to know her. I'll share with you what I learned....She was a teachers assistant for several different grade levels. Her most recent grade level was elementary. She will have to wait for six months for for Visa before she can get a job in the states. She is a returned missionary....I can't remember where she served. That's a good question for you all to ask her when you get the pleasure of meeting her. I'm looking forward to getting to know her better! She is a great girl!

Isn't she lovely?! I am amazed at the trust she gave me. We had never met eachother at all before she showed up to my house to get ready for her open house. I had been swimming all morning with my kids and all their Z cousins. I didn't want to take a shower and have humid conditions for her hair. Needless to say I had frizzy, half wet, half dry hair and no make-up on. I was wearing sweats..........Let me just say, I wouldn't let somebody looking like me touch me with a ten foot pole to prepare me for a no big deal event....let alone an open house for my wedding! She was such a trusting person and didn't hesitate at all!!!!! She told me her hair was sort of short but somehow the hairdresser in Utah was able to get it all in an up-do. She emailed me a pic, I studied her face, made plans and said a few prayers on her behalf. I was so nervous because I didn't know her and I usually have a dress rehearsal before the event (prom or whatever) so I know the girl feels beautiful and doesn't go to their event disappointed in the way I did things. My least favorite type of person to do over is the type that is uncomfortable saying they dislike something.Since I didn't know her and she didn't know me I was afraid she wouldn't feel comfortable enough to say she doesn't like a certain color of eyeshadow or something... My prayers were answered and there were no awkward moments.
Getting her hair in an up-do was a little tricky...but a very fun challenge! I love the detail on the sides. I was covering up the rubber bands and ended up with a French twist looking effect

Of course to get the bottom to stay up a topsitail or two did the trick. I bet she had a great time getting the million rubber bands and bobby pins I stuck in her hair.;-)

Getting Made Over by Heidi and Kayla

Today has been the most quite Sunday I can remember having ever.............Paul is on a cruise, I didn't have any extra church meetings. We stayed home just my four children and me. It was nice BUT I am so grateful that it isn't the norm for us. I am so glad to live close to the Gage's and to the Zambrana's. Usually I don't let the children watch anything on TV at my house on Sunday's, but today we watched "The Ultimate Gift" together while Jet took a nap. I laid on the floor to watch it. Kayla ended up laying on my back (I laid on my stomach). She was playing with my hair then she had the bright idea to give me a make-over. She and Heidi went to the bathroom and came back with two combs and a million flower clips. They took turns giving me make-overs during the movie. Even Cannon took a turn doing my hair (shhh don't tell Paul). The girls were loving it! I was too. We made plans to go to beauty school together while they are teenagers. (I have had plans to go to beauty school with them for some time but never discussed it with them. At this point they are ALL for it!) I hope we really can do it. It would be such a great way for them to support themselves or their husbands through college...however life works out for them. It is also a great way to earn a little money and still stay home with their children. We'll see how life turns out. Either way it was a fun experience having my girls enjoy walking in shoes like mine for an afternoon. They had so much fun not watching me give make-overs but do the make-over on me. I love Kayla's cheeks! They are so pinchable and kissable!! She is irresistible!

ALL the Zambrana Grandchildren

Yesterday and today we had the pleasure of getting ALL the Zambrana cousins together at the same time. Naturally, we had a swim party at the Robinson's pool. They are WAY to good to me! Having the children together and playing was such a treat. Jenifer and Marie left late this afternoon. I have a feeling my kids are going to go through major cousin withdraws for a few days. One thing is for sure Families are FUN!

A Visit to the Madsen's Farm

My Dad called the Madsen's to see if we could come and visit their animals while ALL the cousins are in town. We had such a fun day. all the Zambrana grandchildren are in town. After our visit with the Madsen's we went to McDonald's for lunch, then to Gwen's for some Slip and slide fun and dinner. I'll post those pictures separately. This is Nugget. This was my first time riding a horse with out anybody guiding the horse. Nugget was a perfect horse for my first time. I could trust him completely! He is such a gentle and sweet horse. I LOVED it. I need to get better at steering him though. My favorite was when I could get Nugget to go somewhat quickly in a straight line.
